Hello

My name is Sherri and I donot mind using my first name, because I was always called by my last name (SMITH ! ! ! ! !), and then Cappy because I was lucky enough to command a crew on a professional fire dept. I was also trained to fight forest fires for the BLM, a structural specialist and dog handler for FEMA. My dogs, Rommel and Patton, retired with me after 15 years with FEMA. My retirement came sooner than I thought because I answered the call to the Pentagon on that fateful day, and I retired with 26 years under my belt.

I like "gallows humour", when you consider my profession, and donot take myself too seriously. I am a card-carrying member of the IAFF, because I realize that you have to "dance with them that brung ya". I love conversations with both Liberals and Conservatives, as long as they stay constructive. If we cannot share ideas to find answers to certain questions, then we are truly lost. I proudly consider myself a Liberal, willing to listen to all points of view.

Hello Sherri.

Welcome.

Sounds like you had an interesting career. We have a good mix here of both parties.
