2008 news: Feingold out, Vilsack, McCain in
Feingold announced yesterday that he had decided against a run. Governor Tom Vilasck of Iowa announced he is running. And McCain has formed an exploratory committee, which almost always results in a run unless the results of the committee are disastrous.
Vilsack I have to consider a longshot. By all accounts he's been an above average governor, but according to polls he wouldn't even with the IOWA primary. If an Iowan candidate can't even win his own primary he's toast. Even Tom Harkin won the Iowa primary in 1992.
