I'm thinking that isn't close to the real thing. The interrogators aren't trying to make Steve give them information he may or may not have know.

It might be a good demostration but I doubt it's like the real thing.

from what i understand...

"waterboarding" is actually when they would tie someone to a board, dunk them underwater to the point where the victim would be at the brink of drowning, and then resurface them... allow a breath or two.. and then dunk them again. pretty torturous to me.

and correct. these men were not trying to extract information from this Steve fellow. we don't see what kind of activities go on behind closed doors because for the most part...we wouldn't want to. if not, torture would be made totally viewable for all.

Well, I don't think the asking questions part makes it more torturous. Although you could be right that they weren't doing it severely enough.
