Eeeeeooooo yuck! What kind of spider is that? Is it venomous? Can you stand on it? The moth looks huge, is the spider as big?

You see, that's why I've not visited South Africa!

When I first metmy husband, I hadn't been to Peru, knew little about it. My husband showed me some pictures of the family home in Lima. On the wall in the dining room there was a very large creepy creature, he told me "ah yes, these animals live among us"...Turned out it was a fake lobster which someone thought would give atmosphere to the dining room. He had me thinking it was some kind of giant insect...

Pleased you are wanting to learn about Africa.
I've set up a site with Google photos with my pictures of South Africa if you are interested to see them. There are lots of them so if you are going to look at them prepare yourself.
Yeah, sure. That sounds like fun. I'm interested in all world politics and most of world history. I've read a few books on Africa and if I had the time I'd read more.

Feel free to send me a link of your scrapbook in PM's or elsewhere. Thanks.

That is so funny. They are not everywhere. Just here in the sub-tropics. We have everything bigger and scarier than anywhere else in the country. The spider looks big but I went up quite close to get the picture and it went away eventually but we don't walk around barefoot outside just in case.
The moth is huge, but quite beautiful. In the summer we get a lot of snakes which I scream about but the Zulus call them all mambas and kill them first then ask questions, I must admit they scare me. I'll find the creep pictures and put them up on the Google site, they are interesting..

I don't mind, my personal stuff encrypted but the scenery pics I put there so people can see what Africa looks like. The 'views' folder contains pictures of the view from my front door. Use this address. Please feel free to leave comments I want to see what people think.
