Game Map

While we wait for the rest of the players to contact me with their number between 0-1000 so that nations can be assigned, here is what the game map will look like. Also you can see where each nation's initial military units will start at. A's are armies and can move on coastal and inland spaces. F's are fleets and can move on coastal and water spaces. We'll see these move around and everything else as the game progresses. Only the spaces that have supply centers (black dots) will change color though because they are the only spaces in which ownership matters.

Have you guys figured out how to play yet (by looking at the rules over the internet?)

Please ask any questions if you have any.

Also post #29 has an overview of the game and the 2 page document attached to the opening post has examples and explanations of the 4 different kinds of moves.

I have a question. Can you support in a defensive way as well, or only when you attack, or re-attack in fall after being defeated before?

Is it possible to support an army with a fleet in case they are located according to the support rules?

I was wondering could we have seconds. Like A person to fill in for you just in case so the game will go on?

Slarti- Yes you can support a holding unit or a moving unit and yes fleets and armies can support each other so long as both units are capable of moving into the space being supported. So an army can't support a fleet in the black sea, but a fleet in the black sea could support an army in Sevastopol.

billy- Yeah you can use a substitute if you need to at any time. With people playing from all over the place I'm thinking that 3 turns a week might be enough. Probably on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

By the way, we are waiting on Troianii and africanhope for their random number. If I don't have it by 9 tonight I will just randomly pick a number for each of them. So sometime tonight around 9 Central (GMT -6) we will know who has what country.

Do you have a "second" in mind? It would be a good idea to get that all setup as early as possible, IMO.

I just want to watch this thing, not play. I post a lot, but I don't have the extra time to play and do the diplomacy required to play.

I just want to see this game played right. Both times I played, France dropped out and it made the game blow. I would like people to play a decent game. Why do you think you might leave the game?
