I don't think it would take too long for someone else to learn to be GM of this game. It would be a waste though, and an unnecessary distraction. It would be nicer if people could just play the game without the accusations.

You're supposed to be the GM, you're not supposed to work to the detriment of one of your own players.
|
Nor have I. Whoever is on top receives a bigger dose of my scrutiny but I have no serious interest in anyone winning or losing. That would be pointless.

So France is supposed to just cede supply centers to Germany and the UK for the glorious cause of defeating the Turks.
|
My criticism of France's move was simply that it was short-sighted. Beyond that one move (made in Spring no less) there would be no way for him to maintain the military gains--not to mention the effect it has on the tentative peace that--once ended--would destroy him.

I think it's an indication of a GM who wants to be banned and replaced. Is that what you're implying?
|
It's strange that you don't just say "no, I didn't read your PMs" but instead you use threats.
If you want to ban me or whatever go ahead, the internet is a big place and you're not that interesting. You've been trying to steal this game from me from the start anyway.

You've been railing on him since before he was in any kind of decent position.

There was no peace. That is not a difference of opinion. You continue you to spew false statements even when the facts contradict them. Forget that Germany attacked France twice already. You even had Germany and UK saying that there never was a peace with France, and you still ignore that.

No, I didn't read your PMs. I didn't threaten you. I just asked if you were implying something. If you think that I read your PM's, then you could have behaved like a gentleman and asked me about it in private, and not tried to use it as a bludgeon in a debate about strategy.

You are relieved of command.

That's gratitude for you. I helped to make this game happen and keep it rolling despite many people dropping out and other people's leaving for entirely justified medical and family reasons, and this is the thanks I get? Well OK, that's the kind of pettiness which I have come to expect from you.

Drake has been banned. The game will have to be postponed till a new GM can be found. I think I have some people in mind who can replace him. It will take a little while to get everything in place though, so the game will have to halt until a GM is ready to replace Drake.

lmao @ AzTek
Drake (if you by any chance ever read this) it is stupid and completely out of line to say that WEB used his privileges to read your mail. Just because you have a personal feud, WEB is still a member of this forum and does not have to stand your complete bullshit. I do not completely mind you begrudgingly accepting the fact that I could even POSSIBLY win, but excessive comments were not in order.
Thanks for standing up for me WEB, I wasn't around. Now, to be diplomatic... to my mailbox!

Well, as WEB astutely observed, the alliance between France, Germany and to a certain extent GB was never all to solid, but yet as you also correctly pointed out, politicians can generally be trusted to do what's in their best interest - which in this case was fighting off the juggernaut.
Eventhough obviously it was an opportune moment for France to stab Germany, in the long run breaking the pact so early was probably not so wise. Germany and...well, myself effectively provided a bufferzone between the Juggernaut and France...now that buffer zone is basically gone.
But specially with Germanys move into Skandinavia, the game just turned a heck of a lot more interesting

Hello, all. I have accepted the position of GM and the game will be underway again before long. I need to familiarize myself with the software with which to input the players' moves, review the rules again, and get ahold of a picture editing program so I can post the moves and the progression of the game. It shouldn't be more than a day and a half or so--I hope you're all okay with that. Thanks for your patience.
