I have a proposal.
F Nap -> Ion
Basically will allow him to get Tunisia in the Winter.
Then give Italy to Diligent D
I hate this missing man shit. (No, I still would rather not play - time pressure, I didn't even have time to post yesterday).

If an army moves into a territory that's not being controlled or defended by another player, you gain control of that territory, right? Does this "taking control" also only happen if the territory is still yours after fall? I didn't find anything in the instructions, but since the "new" territories of the players are not yet coloured, that's the way it works right?
BTW how long does such a game take, rough estimate? Can't wait for the next one to start If Troiiani doesn't show up and noone else minds I'll gladly take Italy though.
Gray territories are off-limits I suppose?

I had a feeling you might like this game. I think it would be great if either you or Diligent D took over for Italy.
Undefended supply centers count for more troops. You gain new troops in the winter if you hold a NEW supply center by the end of the fall. Let's take Tunis. If Italy had a fleet in there by the end of spring and then moved out of it in the fall, Italy would not receive credit for it in the winter re-supply. If Italy kept its fleet in Tunis during the fall, only then would it get the extra credit for winter re-supply.

I was wondering if you were talking about me when you mentioned "the other Austrian guy"
I love strategy games, they'r awesome. If Troiiani is still MIA for thursdays turn and everyone agrees on I'll gladly step in for him - one turn behind and Italy is a real nice challenge But just if everyone's fine with it and there's really no sign of Troiiani anywhere, don't want to give him the sensation he's being pushed out or something, but I'd say it's just more fun if all countries are played. If Diligent D was first to ask it's his spot though.

An Italy that does not do anything, can't fight properly and is basically useless. Wow, it is a realistic game!
Anyhow, I vote that whoever ets Italy makes a backdated move, just o be (*sort of) fair

I spoke to Diligent D. He's not ready yet to start playing. He told me to pass the torch to you.
Send a PM to Drake about it. Tell him that you would like your fleet in Naples moved to the Ionian Sea for your spring move. That is fair. That is the standard opening Italy move for that fleet.

Okay, Aztek has Italy. I won't let him pick a backdated move but I will give him a little head start toward at least one new supply center for fall. Updated map will be posted below.
Fall turns due Thursday at 8PM Central.
I've had several questions about new units. Just so everyone knows, if you expect to get a new unit in the fall, tell me what you want it to be and in which of your original territories you want it to be made. If down the road you happen to lose a supply center in the fall then the military unit farthest away from your capital will disappear.
By the way, go google the phrase "Diplomacy Championship" and this thread is the third listing. Thats kinda cool.
