The amount of sex and violence on the tube is totally out of control.
They are not taking responsability for thier actions. Their only morals is the dollars they make.
Government cannot mandate morals but they can tax the media so,that they bear the cost to society of the immorality they spread.
At the very least the tax imposed on the media should cover the entire cost of the judicial system and law enfocement.
If the media had to pay these costs ,maybe we could have decent family shows promoting decent morals and stop the corruption of our youth.

Taxation is the liberal's way of behavior modification. Of course the government should not be dictating "correct" behavior but they forget that whenever it suits them.

What a horrible thread. I agree with all of the previous posters, YOU take the responsibility to use the vchip or do what it takes so that you don't see something you disagree with. Or better yet pick up a book and read it. I hate all these calls for censorship, the government is not there to do you parenting!

PLEEEAASSE! I agree with whom ever said take some responsibility for yourself and control what your family watches. Thats whats wrong with this whole mess is no one wants to accept responsibility for anything and wants to blame someone else for their problems. Grow up! All Government try and modify behaviour, Conservatives, Liberals, Socialists, Communists.

None of them are any better then any of the others when it comes to Behaviour Modification. Why single out liberals like they are any different from the rest?

As far as I am concerned if my choices do not effect anyone else, then it is not of Governments concern.

If want to be fat, if I want to smoke, if I don't want to excercise and if I want to die 30 years earlier then other people due to cancer, heart disease, lung problems etc etc that is MY choice.

It isn't down to Government to make me a better person.
