LoooooooooL wow great opinions. But of all posters does anyone have actual experience with pot use? Long ago in a far off land I did. It make the life of always being hungry, dirty, tired and having thoughts of lose and maybe dying seem to not matter as much at the
moment. It made each of us in the bunker a bit loose and easy. We laughed and talked about the good memories of our fallen buddies our lives at home. The protesters whom said we were babies killers and America's worst citizens. Well the pain we felt wasn't as horrified at these moments. And all the philosophizing can't change that truth.

Thats a main reason many casual smokers who dont do hard drugs like me smoke it i think, Its a very communal bonding experience. I saw videos of soldiers from Vietnam On the movie Grass, giving shotguns with literal shotguns, that was interesting.

I can truthfully say I've been clean and sober for 10+= years now, but yes I've smoked the herb had a good taste of Mary Jane from Columbian to Mexican creaper to right out of the triangle
Of course this means I can't run for public office but what the hell I don't think I'd want to anyhow.
As far as me getting straight it was whiskey and wine that killed me for 7 seconds, and put me in a gutter in St Louis and later to detox not pot.

Exactly. Give people an inch and what do they take? A mile. There's no reason to keep giving people all of their individualistic wants when those wants are unpleasant, unhealthy and potentially hazardous to themselves and-- much more importantly--those around them. It's illogical.

The pills people take for depression have a beneficial and productive purpose. They're given out on prescription basis for people who need medical relief and have gone to seek the help of qualified professionals for that reason. THC pills are just another form of that stupid selfish "recreational" high that accomplishes nothing productive and puts people in a very unpleasant and unnecessarily unstable situation.

Could not thc pills be modified to have a beneficial and productive purpose.
After all any person can get addicted to phamisutical pills to the point where it becomes "recreiational" thus putting people in an "unpleasent","unecessary",and "unstabe situation

That's the point. That's why I'm not opposed to medical marijuana if it's regulated and controlled. Because then it has a beneficial purpose. One has to choose to get addicted to anything. Addiction is a choice, if you choose to get addicted (mentally) to something as foolish, pointless, and idiotic as recreational marijuana, then you suffer the consequences for it.
-----------------------------
As for this absurd and ignorant "land of the free" argument I've heard more than a few people spouting off, this is a Democratic republic, this is not an "every man does what he wants" anarchy. Recreational marijuana is not needed for any aspect of human life. It's a selfish, pointless and disgusting want. It's unpleasant and unhealthy and there's no logical reason for the government--people of intellectual thinking capabilities who are chosen for their abilities to see what's best for the collective populace--to legalize something as pointless, stupid, and harmful as recreational marijuana. If anyone actually wants to provide me with some unbiased statistics that rebut the harmful side-effects that come from a selfish "recreational" drug, sobeit. Otherwise, the arguments mean nothing--as they are not supported with any facts whatsoever.
