Lower drinking age to 18?

ABC News: Should the Legal Drinking Age Be 18?

I have a better idea, lets raise the age to fight in combat to 21 instead. The argument that 18 year olds can be in combat is constantly used to promote lowering the drinking age. The reality is, and having been that age, an 18 year old is not a full adult. Mentally they do not have a full grasp on reality. They think they do but they don't. I think the question should we raise the age to be in combat to 20 or 21 instead. Let them join the military, but keep them out of combat positions until they are at least 21.

Plus, who wants all these teeny boppers overrunning bars anyway?

Our drinking age is 18. But to be realistic, how many people wait to be 18 before they take their first drink. We've also lowered the age of maturity to 18, so at 18 you are fully emancipated.

Tell me do American parents allow little kids to sip their beer, say at a bar-b-que. I see that all the time and bitch like mad about it. The when those same kids are drunken teens they say, it's their friends.

Wouldn't it just be a better solution for mankind to just turn away from war and violence?
