I hate censorship of any kind as it suppresses the creative spirit.

I mean, imagine Pulp Fiction with all the expletives deleted.

In the UK we can't even make a film or stage a play that involves a character smoking a cigarette. Actors are not even permitted to use a herbal cigarette. Not great news for Carmen which is set in a cigarette factory.

It often feels like I am in the minority but I want to live in a world full grit, reality and other people's annoying habits, not a scrubbed down, sanitised clinic.

Good thing I don't have kids. Let's try to steer clear of criticizing the parenting-skills of people you don't know, shall we?

I'll be keeping an eye on all of you...... <.< >.>
Oh, now I don't know about the rest of these posters, but you know I just do it as a ploy to get your attention especially.

In any event, all I meant to say was that I don't think what is said or put on TV is really that dangerous or wrong. What is wrong is how it is used as a tool to condition people, as there "has" to be something wrong with society if it is allowed on the air. I find that most people that are in vocalized opposition are those who think they can shield people from all of the worlds realities by regulating what is transmitted to a box with a cable line, rather than just regulating what goes on with their own personal box with a cable line.
