Not sure what your beef is, especially since you never answered my earlier questions.
I do you use the local library occasionally. And those activities are great for a library, however, if people are not there to use it that way, they should not be allowed to use it, just like any business. Its not as if homeless people are funding the public libraries, and therefore deserve a God given right to it.

You're right superdude; we should limit access to "public" buildings based on how much income tax people pay.

The solution is to help the homeless people, not declare them secondary citizens.

Alun, where do I say base it on how much tax? They don't pay taxes period. Maybe on the food they buy, but that usually does not go back to help fund libraries. The point is, a library is not a place to sleep all day.

If that's your point, what does the purpose of a library have to do with paying taxes? Anybody gets kicked out of a library for making trouble; loitering on public property is not making trouble. What exactly does a homeless person sleeping in a library do to hurt you or anyone else?

No, they may have just given their physical and mental health to defend the right of the people to have the freedom to use a library is all. Such a paltry thing, really, when you think about it. I mean, they could have died fighting for our country.

I don't think you comprehend the human faces on the homeless people in this country. They are no less an American citizen than you or I, nor less deserving of having access to a public library.

You are no better than they are.

Where do I say that I am? If they are actually using the library as it is meant to be, they can use it. However, if they aren't and are using it for other means, they should not be allowed too.
