This is a very good post, IMO. I think both sides can learn quite a bit from the other, and both points as mentioned here have lessons to be picked up from both sides.

I hate that I missed that one. How does someone argue that whites blame everything on non whites, when this thread is about non whites blaming and asking for money from whites?

And even though that guy is gone, I have listened to Al's show "Keep'n it Real!" and all he does is take calls from crazy ass holes that talk about "White poeple be livin in caves" and when I've called repeatedly to ask him about white people and black people working together to solve the problems of society, I sit on hold for an hour or more...... till the show ends. I don't see how, considering their past, you can think that Jesse and Al are legitimate holy men.

And, not that it matters at this point, but why would a white supremist volunteer to spend his time working for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America to build a friendship with a BLACK kid who doesn't have a father or mother?

You are more the racist then anyone who has posted thus far. You point your finger at whites and blame us for all the ills of the minorities within America. There are always a small minority who are racist and let that be known, but the vast majority of whites don't disparage minorities and couldn't care less about skin color. Your perspective is that of the supposed "victims" of the white man.

I think that there are white people who do care and are compassionate toward people of color.

But how do some white people actually know what they say to non-white people if they solely focus on "fingerwagging", being resentful and worried about some person of color thinking that they're racist?

I doubt some whites are conscious of knowing that some of the things they say disparage people of color.

While, there are other whites who consciously do it just because it makes them feel better venting their spleen.

Besides, not caring about skin color is part of the problem. That's why "color-blind" rhetoric is very important to deconstruct when dealing with race-related talk. It points to white people not even being conscious of their own skin color and the meaning it presents to society as a whole. It's best to re-read Robert Jensen for a further explaination.

Would you explain this more? How is discussing one's experiences and insights about "race talk" victimization? I've always wanted to know how this is so from the Sean Hannity-Bill O'Reilly-Rush Limbaugh-Beseiged-White Male crowd.
