I don't own one, but plan on buying one next year on my 24th birthday. Not sure what kind yet, but I'm trying to become as educated as I can with them before that time.

I don't have one, but I'm not morally opposed to them.

It's fun to shoot stuff.

Are you looking for one for hunting or home defence?
We have a Beretta 9mm semi-auto, a SW .38 Special snub nose revolver, and a Remington pump action 22 rifle.
We have them for home defence (I got my wife the 9mm before I went to Kuwait).
I highly recommend going to a local gun shop and taking a weapons safety course. To figure out what weapon is right for you, you should go to a gun range. Most have guns that you can rent, this way you can try different ones out to see what fits you best.

Thanks, man
I'm looking for home defense. Never been much of a hunter. A gun range was my plan. My Uncle teaches gun safety courses, so I'll tap him as my resource in that dept.

personally not interested and i'm hoping that since my boyfriend hasn't talked of getting one in over a year that i won't have to deal with the issue.

Why? They are great for home protection, not to mention that the gun range can become addicting. My wife found that out.

Oh some people are anxious about guns. They'll get in and drive a car. They'll use a knife to carve up a chicken or a pumpkin, but a gun will terrify them.

Guns kill people didn't you know ?
