The same is true of Jefferson and Madison. I've seen those records at Monticello (Jefferson's home), and Montpelier (Madison's home). And there are records in Boston regarding John Adams and John Q. Adams, also. They may have worshipped on a timely basis, but they were all Deists. They also thought it was important to keep religion separate from government. Why would their ancestors, have left The British Isles?

Sherri... you are absolutely correct.

If you need to look for foolishness. Look at anyone who posts sites as referance that say www.creationist anything. They might as well be selling Scientology. The creationist believe T-Rex and all his dinosaur friends hung out with Jesus... and Noah put them all on his Ark. You are entering THE TWILIGHT ZONE!

To me the flag is something that we identify ourselves with, to say "Yes, we belong to the proud country that is America". It doesn't really represent much more than that, unless of course I literally say that is represents thirteen colonies and 50 states.

And only a fool would mistake it as a reference. Of course, that same fool would be unable to counter any of the numerous points made either, given that he's a fool.

Of course, I agree totally with that statement, but what I'm trying to do is go beyond that. Why would we ever have stars and stripes? Why not have circles and squigglies? Why not have strawberries and muskets? And if we are to come to stars and stripes, why the colors chosen?
