This example may be a bit old, but John F. Kennedy was a catholic he kept his religious life private, and seperate from government srevice.
Thus the seperation of church and state.

Other members of goverment even today feel the same way they keep their rekigious beleifs seperate from government.
Example Roevs Wade was passed by the government still in place.
Which proves not all politicians are bible thimping church goers there wear their religion on their sleeve.

If a person has a job to do,any person his mind should be on the job at hand.
Atheist or religious or whatever the person that can prefom the task that needs to be fullfilled the best would be the person best for the job.

Although it is true I don't want some rich preacher telling me how I should worship or who I should agree with.
I wouldn't want an atheist telling me that my faith in God is wrong and I should beleive in the Big Bang either.

Any elected official should recognize the right of the American people to be indivifduals that only beleive in making America a better place to live.
In my opinion this is the one beleif that should be questioned.
