Exactly-we need to work together against the common enemy that would divide US-for together, we are the majority. Together, change can happen.

In conjunction with my other reply, I would say Obama needs to come right out and say the truth. In a way, he is an excellent writer and orator, but he needs to come out and use the national platform to open the race dialogue.

Get to know another culture, another religion, another cuisine- yummy and interesting. Change is a challenge, but it sure can be fun and rewarding. Look at those pictures of the Dalai Lama and Bishop Desmond Tutu laughing together. Wow!

This post is a manifestation of the U.S. racism.

The USA is a true melting pot of many people and their cultures. Generally, when you mention race most quickly think a black-white issue. There are many cubanos and mexicans that are taunted by blacks and whites just because they are different. But, for the most part, most Americans are decent, hard working compassionate people. We are not planting IEDs or using human bombs to kill innocent people in bazaars and cafes because we don't like their religion.

The racism exhibited by black vs. latino, asian vs. black, etc. all stem from the birth defect that Condoleeza rice spoke of. That defect has grown from what Bill O'reily calls the "White Male Christian Power Structure". That is the new word for the KKK.

I do not understand what you mean- are you saying that I am a racist? I am proud of the fact that my white daughter is married to an Asian, that I have two grandsons who show hybrid vigor, and that my sister has a son by a black African, who also has hybrid vigor. Am I aware of racism in the US? You bet! Have I seen improvements in the struggle against racism? Also yes, and I expect to see more

No. I am not calling you a racist. I am saying that this post is racially offensive. The use of the term hybrid when describing race is offensive, it is the same thing as using the word mulatto.
I am not calling you a racist for using the term. I am just stating it is a racially offensive term.

Check out hybrid vigor- it is the extra vigor that is to be found in hybrids in both the plant and animal worlds, something most every farmer is aware of, and most of our food crops are hybrids because of that superiority. Some people other than my relatives that show this hybrid vigor are Tiger Woods, Barak Obama, and, I believe, some folks on this forum. Young Asians in the US use the term hybrid to describe mixed race Asians.

Hybrid autos are also superior, and the infusion of more hybridism in the US is one of our nation's strengths. I do not see how the term hybrid can be understood as anything negative- it has been proven that it brings superiority- to state otherwise is racist and wrong.
