LOL! Not uncomfortable! Bored! Bored to the point of annoyance! And not annoyed about slavery, but being held personally responsible for ancient history.

I perfer the term "supervillian".

I think at the same time "some" white people get very offended when blacks seem ungrateful.
I have heard this belief mentioned. I have never met a white person who actual wants it. A end to the constant din of accusation and demands is most I have ever heard desired.

Particularly in the case of reverend Wright and Al Sharpton, they get offended when a black person even suggests that things haven't gotten much better.

Agreed. It is offensive to be viewed as though decades of effort and progress did not actual take place.

On the one hand, I can see why they find it frustrating to live in what people call "the land of the free" when Americans incarcerate more people per capita than any other nation, and those incarcerated are disproportionately Black. They also perceive that they have fewer opportunities than others in what is supposed to be "the land of opportunity."

But I don't think they consider that they probably would not be better off in Africa, which is where they would be if slavery had not happened. In terms of absolute economic conditions, slavery itself does not help or hurt Black Americans today, but that doesn't mean there is as much justice in American society as we would like to believe.
