the only truth here is---nobody owns this country---our forefathers were all immigrants- it is just our inability to realize that--WE all feel entitled--if truth be told the indians were here before any of us--But that being said---the path to contentment is education- hard work--and saving--i used to work at a restuarant in cortez colorado where there were several UTE women working there-you want to talk predjudice, they not only won't talk to you they won't even look at you if you are a white person--and you know what i don't blame them--

Facts of history are not examples of righteous indignation. Using those facts of history as a sort of angry armament is.
Likewise, from the opposite point of view, accusation of whininess is also.

As a woman alone, walking down a street of any neighborhood with more than it's share of under-employed, under-educated youth of whatever color, do you know what scares me?
Any man who looks angry. Or sounds angry, maybe because of the music he's listening to. All that rap music sounds so angry to me, and it has become just as popular with whites and others as with blacks.

I felt it had the ring of truth to it, but others in that thread differed strongly.

No, facts of history are not anger. They sometimes are events which inspire anger. But that is not the same thing. Anger and history are not the same thing.
I know that what Bododie and I said were different. That's the point. She was specifying "black" in response to your post that historical truths give blacks justification for anger. What I was saying is that I am afraid of anger, no matter what color person it comes from. The music is nothing more than an indication that the person may be angry.
