What is your religious belief and were you born with it?

I want to know if you decided at a some age you believed, or if it is something you follow cause your family does. So please post.

I am Atheist, but was raised from a Christian father and Catholic grandmother. My mother is Wiccan. I have learned a lot about the bible and all of the religions of my family. I actually once almost converted to Buddhism because I was confused and it sounded more like my thoughts.

I'm a Catholic, born and raised. There was a point in my life when i wasn't too sure but... i felt obsolete and pointless without my faith in God, i realised there had to be something out there and that we couldn't be here to simply die.

Well then why aren’t you agnostic? That is the belief in just a god. Also meaning that the god is not of human origin

Because i needed guidance at the same time. I don't listen to everything that my church tells me, but i listen to the scripture as it offers guidance. If i ever did give up religion though, i would probably be agnostic or deist.

Well you have your own beliefs and I respect them. But guidance from others doesn't make a strong leader it makes a familiar one.

I can’t really see myself as an atheist, agnostic, or a deist. For awhile I thought maybe agnostic, but no, I’m a skeptic. In every way I am a skeptic and I don’t take anyone’s explanations without much, maybe continues, deliberation. I can’t remember ever believing in any of the hooey.

Well atheism is the denial of a god, I deny that a god exists but is not sure of it. I also deny that everything goes on forever. I'm stuck in a thought of perplexity. HAHA

I'm an atheist in the sense that I don't worship a god. I would gladly acknowledge the existence of one if I was presented with indisputable proof of its existence. I'm going to assume there is no god and live my life as if there is none until I die or see this proof.

I don't think my religious beliefs (or lack thereof) are superior to anyone else's, Scientologists being a notable exception.

Honestly, I don't really care if there's a god and live a perfectly happy life without religious belief. I realize that it's different for other people and respect that, but it's just not "for me." I don't know what happens when I die, but I'm guessing I just die and decompose - I don't believe in an afterlife or in reincarnation. This life is all I know I have, so I'm going to enjoy it.

I don't know if I was always this way. My family is religious so I obviously took on their beliefs as a young child, but I don't know if I ever actually thought they were true.

Agnostic means that you don't know whether you believe in a god or not. Deism is belief in a god without religion.
