I am assuming you are saying in your second part that I am too negative. Well.. was that positive enough? I think it's a good thing that America is the way it is in terms of combining the races. I don't think it's in any way perfect or that it is a "working model" yet... but it may get there.
Are all of these things supposed to be bad? Because besides the guns, I'm not seeing anything negative there
For people too positive never need change good always content hi Vravo whynot?

My thoughts exactly. Can't you just pray in your head?

You do know that the Christian bible says that praying in public is for hypocrites and those whole only believe for social recognition? Going to find the quote.

Which leads me to ask, shouldn't good Christians be against public prayer just like the Atheists? Since the bible clearly frowns upon it.

Mathew Chapter 6

6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Good point, and it is one i abide by, but Christianity is also about pilgrimage and what not, kind of a contradiction but people chose what they want from the bible.

When it comes to the argument of prayer in public schools, I highly disagree that the "minority" (whom I assume the original post is referring to as anyone who is not Christian), has a goal to make Christians (the majority?) cease prayer. As stated in the original and previous posts, the United States of America does by law advocate the freedom of religion and religious expression; yet also important is the emphasis on the separation of church and state. I have yet to see a case where the private practice of prayer in school was restricted. If such a case has occurred, then I would agree that government censorship of Christianity in school has gone too far. Yet I have seen cases where parents and students feel uncomfortable with saying the phrase “under God” in the pledge of allegiance, which to my knowledge is an everyday practice for all of the students in school (at least it was when I was in the lower levels of my education). This in my opinion, and obviously the opinion of many others, is not a private practice of religion in the public school forum. The reciting of the pledge is something that is school sponsored; usually there is even a special time allotted for the ritual every morning. I think the issue with the post here is both identifying and recognizing what in fact is the private practice of religion and what type of practices may be either offensive or influential to others (especially young children in public schools) being sponsored by the school. If Christians do have a problem, it may only be a case of “why can’t things be like the used to be syndrome.” Some people have simply voiced their discomfort and did something about it. Just because the school as a whole doesn’t sponsor it does not mean that it is not allowed. Besides, there is always an option of private school, which is not government funded, and where one can say or even dictate all and any prayers that one wants at any time.
