Antichrist Superstar - MAXIM Magazine - USAIt's easy to dismiss a nut who announces plans to take over the world. But when he has millions of dollars, an army of followers he calls a Super Race, and fearful governments banning him from their countries, he's impossible to ignore. Meet the man who calls himself Antichrist.

Dude's website.
This seems pretty ridiculous, but this guy is getting tons of money and a shitload of followers. They're even taking their kids to get 666 tatoos. Has anyone heard of this guy? I just read about him in Maxim. Do you think that he could go the road of someone like Hitler? or will he just fizzle out?

What an idiot. The people who follow him must be even stupider. If he ever did anything worth worrying about, he'd be crushed in a second. Dumbasses will follow dumbasses, that's just how the world works.

He's a cult leader. So long as you stay away, the worst thing that can happen is him and his followers get killed in a shootout with the police.
He's a nut, what can you say?

Apparently, this cult leader is sharp enough to make a buck off his foolowers.
He has an E-Store on that website. Sells some pretty blue mouse pads too. And music CDs, and lovely laminated bookmarks, and pens and...

Yeah, I've heard of this guy, and money people in the Christian community are already aware of him. He's an ex-convict who drives a BMW, wears rolex watches, and preaches that there is no sin, and that there is no hell; so it's no surprise that he's pulling something like this. But what's hard to believe, is the large number of his growing cult followers in the Latin community, both in and outside the US.
Other than that, I don't think he'll make any kind of impact on mainstream society. Normal people see him for what he is. But it's not to say that more cults of this nature won't continue to pop up in the future.

I don't know. I often have the impression that the "normal" people you speak of are a much smaller group than any of us thinks.

He may not have a big impact, but the last thing we need is another group of people that hold extreme religious beliefs. But, as long as they keep to themselves I don't really care. For the most part I find the whole situation to be humorous.

There is no way you can prevent the soft-headed sheep from following some hustler. The worse things get in people's lives the more "messiahs" pop up to take advantage of them.
