Here's what you do. You feel comfortable in the beliefs that you do or do not have and not worry about what other people believe or why they believe it. If you hear one of those hard core, crazy ass christians saying that athiests suck... or whatever the hell they say, just tell yourself "hey, thats just a crazy ass hole who will never have any say so in how I live my life" and just forget about it. Like I said I'm far, far, far from religious, but I've been to plenty of churches and know plenty of religious people and the last thing on their mind is making sure that your a believer.

This is what both sides do.

Actually... I thought it was G. Bush, Sr. who said that bit about atheists and citizenship. I could be wrong.

It would appear that you have violated the guidelines of this forum. i.e, indirect personal attack.
Furthermore, you demonstrate that you are a person of crude inclinations as per your disgusting language and "signature".
I am sorry to have confused you with words that are not in your vocabulary.
I am likewise sorry to have invaded what you obviously consider to be your private territory. Perhaps this is our opportunity to have a discussion about territorial behavior of the hierarchy of a troop of baboons.
I am remained of a Saturday Night skit wherein Chevy Chase was explaining that it was not a dragon eating the moon, but merely the moon passing through the shadow of the earth. All the troglodytes were very impressed saying: "You smart!" Then one of the cave men took a rock, smashed in Chevy's head exclaiming: "Now I smart!"
If maturity is not beyond you, grow up.

"The extensive influence sociological standard which is a beleif in God."
Did I miss something are there no books on Darwinism left at the library?
Are there no books on evolution and the big bang theory in America?
Are there no intelligent discusstions on the teory of how we got here?
It would seem you must have read something somewhere to influence you?
Are there no lectures on the Big Bang theory given by professors today?
And by the way you didn't anwser my question.
Would you respect my beleifs if I respect your's?
Oh and by the by the Big Bang theory remains a "THEORY" NOT A FACT.

FryandBender's "you" was a general "you" not a "you" as in you. I think you misinterpreted what he was saying. ^_^ Let's not let this get out of hand, here. I'm sure Fry will clarify this. Then we will drop it and continue the discussion of the topic at hand.

Bottom line,I'm going to make two statements One will be my reponse, I know what that will be the other your response I predict what that will be.
1 I am an atheist my respose SO?,I AM NOT
2 I beleive in God your reponse SO? I DO NOT
If a person I see that needs help and I can help them Do you think I'm going to ask if they are an atheist first?
If you have a chance to help a person are you going to ask if they beleive in God first.
Am I to judge all atheist to be Communist of cource not, that would be not only be crazy, but against my faith in God "judge not ye that be judged"
Are you going to judge everybody that beleives in God to have a low I.Q.?
Cause if you are then you're no better than the Evangilist you are speaking against.

Geeze way to dodge pretty much everything I said. I think that this is my favorite part.

Maybe if in lieu of using "bad" language I could ask a question of every body, and then ridicule their response as illogical, even on a topic as personal as religion. That seems a lot more mature. Or, to be even more mature, when someone calls me out on the bullshit of my complaints, I can focus on the WORDS they used to do so and throw in a Saturday Night Live reference for comedic effect, thus drawing attention away from the fact that I have some deep seeded problem with religion (more than likely focused primarily on Christianity).

Oh wait, I think I have another favorite part.

"I know, I'll throw in a comment about this guy being a baboon protecting his territory. If I couple this with the SNL bit, I'll have typed a lot of words, and people will not notice that I have jack shit to back up my assertions that an anti athiest quote from a crack pot of a president and the few remaining remnants of Christian symbology left in a country that was founded by christians will some how infringe on my rights (or whatever the hell my problem with all of tha is.)

Ok, first question his vocabulary, then the baboon remark, and then finish with the SNL bit. No one will suspect a thing.

Now we can go on like this untill I get bored, or you can explain to everyone why you find the President's quote such an eminent danger, or why "one nation under God" gets you all worked up. I mean, come on, your a logical guy right.

AND.... on a final note, if I was going to risk getting banned from here, I would make sure to just come out and make a direct personal attack so that there would be no confusion as to what I was trying to say. I'm assuming you had a problem with this.....
Quote:
Oh yeah, thats right, you're the super intelligent athiest. You have all the anwers and those who are foolish enough to believe in something other than themselves are mindless bobble heads for you to play with.
Sorry if I used sarcasm to point out exactly the way you were coming off.

Regards,

I'm with Fry on this one. You're not looking to be convinced you're looking to pick a fight. I say that because you seem thoroughly convinced that there isn't a god. As with many other atheists that I have dealt with you think that you are super enlightened, as if you are privy to some secret manuscript that the rest of us lack the mental capacity to comprehend. You're here to proselytize to of us ignorant believers about the religion of atheism. SO CONVINCE ME THAT THERE ISN"T A GOD. Speak slowly and try to keep it monosyllabic, I am a troglodyte after all.

Am I the only one reminded of the South Park episode "Smug Alert"
