I am more interested in healing than retribution. Long ago realized I would want nothing to do with any God who wanted to harm me or anyone else in any way....and as people sometimes forget, these scriptures are simply written by other human beings like you and me.

The only being who seriously desires to harm you is Satan. God allows Satan to tempt people but resisting Satan's temptation is rather easy when you got a heart for the Lord who wants to save you.
2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

He allows temptations and trials because he wants people who diligently seek him.
Proverbs 8:17 "I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me."

Yes but god is more powerful than Satan is he not? Shouldn't he be able to save us from him? It would still be just as bad as hurting us, though most likely it would be our fault. There are consequences and I guess consequences are best. I am not even sure that I believe in Satan or deffinetly not the rapture.

It seem so, maybe it takes his eye's off rudolphs buttocks as the noble beast drags the sledge through the sky, the sledge is full of presents for little boys and girls, santa get into their homes in the dead of night by climbing down the chimney, then he sneaks into the bedrooms of the little boys and girls and leaves his presents in their stockings.

Remember kiddies! santa only comes once a year, but when he comes he fills your stockings!

Nothing in this universe happened without a cause. I'm not going to argue with you. God's word will not return void. If you seek the truth, you will find it.

You said God does not have a cause, but he does.
