Fighting over scarce resources
When resources like land and water are scarce, why do humans fight over them? Even if resources are scarce, why isn't it possible to divide them equally between the people instead of fighting over them?

I must go disagree with you on this one. But maybe i'm looking at the question wrong. i'll give my example and you tell me if i'm on the right track. I live right on the great lakes I mean right on them. go out you door and your feet are wet right on them. Now people out of the state of michigan who live right in the middle of of the country claim they have a right to the water because the live in the US. The great lakes makes up 20% of the world fresh water and 95% of the US fresh water. They want the water sell and use. Now yes there is a lot of it but they have no right to it. It's our water!!!! And i think it should be protected and preserved

Why isn't it possible for people to negotiate with each other and voluntarily agree to divide resources equally? Why isn't it possible for humans to decide to decrease their population instead of over-populating the earth, therefore making resources more scarce?

because we dont see eachother as humans only, we also see eachother like different races and different cultures. the reaction to what is unknown to people is in the first place based on fear of it.

Because not all people are equally deserving.

We will continue to fight, go to war, murder.....
...because we are animals-as much as we'd like to forget it, it's true.
It's in our makeup. We fashion all these stupid 'laws' and 'protocalls' to help us seperate the human race from a pack of lower primates, but in reality when our DNA is a few percentage points different from the chimp or Orang, we inevitably fall back to those basic desires of nature.
Deal with it.

I disagree. Our basic natural desire is survival, not to fight, go to war or murder. Nature doesn't support that.

'our' basic drive is survival of the group, you're basic drive is the survival of only yourself primarily. the situation in which you'd have to choose between you or the group will result in most cases in the choice for your own survival.

Hmmm... think about what you just said: Survival first. That means fighting and war is MANDATORY if you are to succeed and survive.
I'm jus sayin'......
