after all each and every organized religion wants to recruit do they not?
I can think of a number of religions that don't recruit. Daoists for example. But anyway that isn't the topic.

It comes from the Jewish religion, the same as you come from your father or mother or another ancestor. The Jewish religion is part of a Catholic's religious heritage.

I think anybody can insult the Jews, and just about everybody has. But to insult them you must suffer them, and that gets to be terribly expensive for any society. Hell, even they couldn't afford the price. Jesus talked about them suing each other for their tunics. That was the was way the place was. Jewish coin for the temple, money changers on the porch; and where did they get the coin to trade if not from inside the house of God? When the place was taken, enough wealth came out of that one city to build the Roman colloseum, and that was an immense building project. But the land and the people were broke and fed upon by their own brothers. These people are different from us, and they know it. They are smarter and the original protestants. As long as they believe the proof that one is blessed is shown by god in a tangible fashion they will help themselves to prove that they are blessed. Sure they're blessed, and with the same words as we are cursed.

it has roots in it but is not a heritage. judaism doesnt see christianity as a heir of theirs, they dont believe in the christian lord and saviour. it is not possible for a religion to be considered as a relative to another, they are autonomous absolute truths that deny the existence other than their own.

I see a lot of truth to George Carlins rant about religious opinions going on in here.

One poster offers an opinion, then a second (and third, fourth etc) comes along and states their opinion, and in doing so, opines that that their opinion is that the first persons opinion is wrong, therefore it doesn't count because the second poster opines that their opinion is the right one.

presluc, I am with you.
