Who Killed JFK? An age old question
You know, up until the last year or so, I really thought that there was more than one gunman. But after watching multiple programs on television, I strongly believe that Oswald was the lone assassin. The "magic bullet" and many other things can be debunked by the most recent shows on A&E and the Discovery Channel. Very impressively too.
I will admit to not having checked every single minute detail of the conspiracy theory, but I've seen enough to finally convince me that Oswald did it.

Funnily the JFK thing is the sole conspiracy theory I believe in.

Yeah exactly. I still believe that JFK knew the secret recipe of KFC and blackmailed it. As you know KFC goes very far when defending its secret recipe...
... or alternatively, I totally messed up the three letters, as I sometimes have a bit of legasthenic tendency. Or maybe as Austrian I commit too often Freud'sche errors. Who knows

He was a god-less commie, he had lived in the USSR, he had a russian wife all these add up to a god-less commie. Sorry, humor is the only way to approach this subject.
He did not pay his connection for all the drugs he was consuming. Oh shit! Humor AGAIN.

Well, according to his brother, Oswald was an underachieving, troubled, and insecure (but bright) person who craved attention, but wasn't succesful in doing so until he finally assassinated Kennedy. Just a few months before his assassination of Kennedy, he attempted to shoot a right wing anti-communist military general named Edwin Walker through his dining room window, but luckily for him, the bullet richoted off the window frame, and only injured him.
There is television footage of Oswald passing out pro-communist literature on the streets of New Orleans while being interviewed by reporters, and it seems he did like the attention. So.....

Yeah, I know how you feel. I used to believe the exact same thing. But now I've seen so many details of the conspiracy theory debunked, that I actually had to change my stance on it. And this is only recently.
For instance, the magic bullet theory really isn't that much of an issue when you notice that Kennedy wasn't sitting directly behind Governor Connally in a perfectly straight line (i.e. shoulder to shoulder, head to head, etc). Kennedy seemed to be closer to the edge of the motorcade, while Connally was a little more to the inside (In other words, Connally's ride side of the body is directly in front of Kennedy's center). This was discovered by taking a closer look at the Zapruder video footage and laying it out in 3D with computer technology. When you think about it, how many people actually sit behind another person in a perfectly straight line? So if taken into consideration, this is what would happen if they were sitting in the way that was mentioned:
Notice, because of the slight angle they are sitting at, how the bullet exits Kennedy's throat, but still enters Connally's right side of the back .
Also, the programs went through and showed how Oliver Stone went and twisted some facts for his movie, such as Oswald supposedly not being a good shot (when his military records actually say that he was an expert). As for the old rifle and impossibility to be accurate with it, an expert gunman hit a moving target from the same distance, with the same accuracy, in the same time as Oswald in a controlled experiment outside of Dallas.
The so-called pristine bullet theory was debunked when an expert looked at it and said that it was in good condition, but not "pristine". So another experiment was made where the same exact type of bullet was shot length wise through a thick wooden beam. Afterwards, the bullet was pulled out, and appeared to be in identical condition as the "pristine bullet". I mean, it really made me think. And I'm only mentioning a couple of the details that I saw debunked. There is more.
If you ever get a chance to see these types of shows, it's at least interesting enough to check it out.

Pretty funny. I just turned on the television, and the History Channel is airing a program called The JFK Assassination: Beyond Conspiracy.

Well, its totally possible that you are right. I only remember foggy about the issues of the conspiracy, for example the magic bullet.
Perhaps it really was just a weird assassination by a mad one.

I guess I'm in the same boat as many. I have read a few books on the side of the theorists, seen the movie, etc. I used to be a big proponent of that theory. However, I have seen much of it debunked in the past couple of years. There's a really good book called "Case Closed" on the subject which made a lot of sense WRT the non-CT side.
