I've posted on political forums for a few years. Now what you have on this political forum is a higher degree of civility than on most others.

If the OP had posted this thread up on a different political forum, he would have simply been torn to shreds. dude, you just don't know how much liberals and Democrats would tear into you for posting a thread like this on most other forums. You might get some support from a few extreme conservatives, but you would generally be fighting alone against a horde of liberals and Democrats belittling the intellegince and character of yourself, your party and other conservatives.

That is all that these kinds of threads accomplish. Even from your own perspective, you don't achieve anything from this, just getting bombed and attacked for it.

By the way, the main reason one doesn't achieve anything from a thread like this is that there are tens of millions of Democrats, and they ARE NOT all the same. What this thread is is like a challenge to a duel, but it's not a smart challenge to a duel, like in Western movie. In a Western movie a guy might challenge some villain to a duel, and then the people of the town would cheer him on.

This thread is the equivalent of challenging half of the town to a duel. Maybe there's a few villains on the other side of the town, but you are challenging a lot of good people to a duel as well, and therefore you will automatically not win. No one will respect someone who besmirches the names of good people in a sloppy group attack. It is also inherently a waste of time to spend your time dueling with people who have done nothing wrong. It's a waste of time for you and them, and everyone who gets caught in between.

Well, W.E.B. let's take a look at some other threads where we discuss Bush and his policies. It appears to me that those equate to this thread, yet there is no such banter in those threads. Why not?

Are you saying that you do not agree with any of the article? I actually find it to be very reasonable and truthful to a large portion of the Democrat base.

OK, here's your thread title: "If It's Bad for America, It's Good for Democrats"

Can you show any thread title that says something comparable to this:

"If It's Bad for America, It's Good for the Republicans"

OR

Republicans should be drafted and sent into combat

OR

The Republican Party = The SS

OR

The Republican Party is the party for the rich and racist whites

Those are easy partisan attacks that I could think of. Please show me a link to anything comparable to that on the forum.

The key word is ACCUSED. There is a difference.

You STATE that the Democrats suck.

The other poster says why SOME PEOPLE THINK the Republicans suck.

So even if we ignore other flaws in your line of argument (i.e. you are also saying that because someone else does something dumb, you should too) your argument still does not hold up, because the two threads are different.

The article is partisan BS and highly insulting. The thread was low quality as a result. Posting partisan threads results in partisan brawling and no quality discussion.
