Law suits a consipiracy theory???
I recently read a thread about Ipods in New york saying if you crossed the street while listening to an ipod or talking on the phone you could be fined.
One member said this "ban" was to protect people from law suits.
I submit a hypothedical situation.
Say a person crosses the street while listening to an Ipod not paying any attention he\she gets hit by a car it's a rusty 79 chevy THE GUY DRIVEING IS WEARING OLD CLOTHES IS THIS PERSON GOING TO PAY A LAWYER TO SUE THIS GUY?
Same person crosses the street gets hit buy a hummer guy steps out three peice suit wearing a rolex is this person going to pay a lawyer to sue this guy?
Some law suits are settled out of court, but if it does go to court the jury will be made up of 12 average citizens, perhaps middle class
So, my consipiracy theory is two fold .
One, are the wealthy targeted for lawsuits so much they have to walk on eggshells in their everday life.
Two does the fact that more things are getting baned protect the average American FROM HARM, or THE WEALTHY FROM GETTING SUED.
Gentlemen and ladies I await you comments or veiws on thios subject.
And I will be the first to say this consipiracy theory is a little bit out there, perhaps entering the late, great , Rod Sterlings turf
THE TWILIGHT ZONE.
