Kind of funny, but also sad. See, the Antichrist doesn't exist at all like some people seem to think. The antichrists are every preacher who preaches against the truth of our LORD Jesus Christ. Revelation does not mention an Antichrist, only Satan himself. The word Antichrist comes from other new testament books where the writers label false preachers, such as the Gnostics, Antichrists, as they are against Christ. The idea of the powerful and evil devotee of Satan, the Antichrist, is a myth not supported by the Bible.

It seems this conpsiracy theorie has especially for Israelis a certain charm (those at least who like to believe in theologocial prophecy conspiracies)

It doesn't surprise me. Christian Zionism is a powerful idea, believed by a large number of people. It sure helps the Jews, as they get a lot of support from the Christian Zionists. Of course it's also dangerous, because once the state of Israel is fully restored (when it was restored by the British, Christian Zionism got a huge boost, but since the events that are supposed to succeed it haven't happened, it's assumed that it has to expand to its full Biblical territory), the next step is if I remember the theory correctly, for it to be conquered by the Antichrist, or destroyed, or something like that.

It's also problematic politically, because Christian Zionists push for Israel to conquer all of Palestine and various parts of Syria, Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan. They also support moves to retake the Dome of the Rock.

Which just goes to show why heresy is bad, and why Christians should actually read their Bibles, rather than listening to whacko preachers. Who, as they teach false doctrine, could in fact be labeled the Antichrist...

Wow, I did not spend much serious thought about it. But what you say makes sense indeed...

I posted this thread only because I think this conspiracy theory reads so hilariously funny from a European context.

PS:
I neither believe prayers not the bible personally. But thats a private decision. Everyone has to clear this up for himself.
