Which is hotter, Heaven or Hell ???
Every sinner, including me, should like to clear up the old question, which is hotter, Heavem or Hell ???
According to an old professor of Greek and Latin , there is some consolation :
Verse 26 of Chapter 30 of isaiah defines the energy radiated heavenward by the Sun and Moon in terms of the amount received by the Earth :"Moreover, the light from the Moon shall be sevenfold, as the light from seven days."
Thuis, Heaven receives from the Moon as much energy as the Earth does from the Sun. If we add to that 49times(seven times seven) the Earth´s solar radiation falling on Heaven, we have a total of 50 timesthe energy we receive from the Sun ... Using ther known absolute temperature of the earth and the Stefan-Boltzmann fourth-power law,we arrive at the determined temperature of Heaven - a less than paraddisiacal 977 Fahrenheir ...
The temperature of the Hell : Revelation 21.8 says :" The fearful shall have part in the lake which burns of fire and brimstone." Since brimstone (sulphur)has a boiling point of 833 F , Hell must be several degrees cooler than Heaven ... If it were not, it would be a vapour, not a lake ... Therefore according to this late professor Heaven is hotter than Hell by at least 144 F.
Or is it otherwise ?

Well, first we would have to determine if hell is endothermic or exothermic, so...
First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we
need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate
at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once
a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are
leaving.
As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different
religions that exist in the world today. Most of these religions state
that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell.
Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not
belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to
Hell.
With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of
souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of
change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order
for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume
of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.
This gives two possibilities:
1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls
enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase
until all Hell breaks loose.
2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in
Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes
over.
So which is it?
If we accept the latter given to me by my ex that, "it will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you", and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number 2 must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over.
The corollary of this theory is that, since Hell has frozen over, it
follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore,
extinct...leaving only Heaven thereby proving the existence of a divine
being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting "Oh my God."
So yes, hell must be cooler than heaven since it just froze over.

Thank you, Kazikli Bey, for your heart-felt exploration by which you have covered the frontiers of the unfindable . That´s a relief that the Hell has just frozen over .... thanks to you both...

If there is a heaven and hell, I don't really think that they're really physical places. No one could really accurately measure one way or the other.

We actually have a place called 'Hell' here in Norway. In fact, US Marines/NATO do some of their cold weather training in that area and I've heard a few of them say the name fits.
