Although Washington initially did not interfere with the YU conflict leaving the EU with free hands ,it didn´t mean that the Bush and Clinton administrations were prepared to keep back if the Europeans seemed to jeopardize the key role of the US in Europe ...
The breakaway of the Slovenia and Croatia was accompanied by considerable violence though the YU constitution permitted the secession if all the constitutional nations agreed to it - Croatia evaded the constitutional provision by stripping the Croatian Serbs of the status of a constitutional nation and forced them to SIGN an oath of loyalty to Croatia ...
The EU from habit was idly countenance the violence having words whether to recognize Slovenia and Croatia or not ... The then UN GS Perez de Cuellar, former US SS Cyrus Vance and the EU negotiator Lord Peter Carrington werw warning against an immediate recognition not to cut off all hope of reconciliation, only Helmut Kohl ( Croatia has always been an ally of G. and a beloved summer place of many Germans recollecting the golden WWII times ) insisted on their immediate recognition and succeeded in persuading the others - this was the crucial moment : 6.2.92 the Bush Senior government being under heavy pressure on the part of its Saudi Arabian "business partners" , including the bin Ladin family, which asked for a Muslim state in Europe (however,Ryad underestimated the traditional influence of Teheran in Bosnia ) , made an exchange deal with the EU :
Washington will recognize Slovenia and Croation in exchange for the recognition of the Bosnia- Hercegovina governed by the Muslims , the dominance of the Muslims being the Washington´s primary end (!) which explains the aggressive propaganda campaign in favour of Izetbegovic that falsely made the Serbs aggressors ( even the start of the ethnic war the Sarajevo government had perfectly planned by not punishing the publicly known murders from the ill-famous Muslim-Croatian mafia gang which shot the father of the bride at a Serbian wedding on March 1.92, as I wrote then it was the Croatian army that crossed the Sava River in the northern Bosnia, burnt down the Serbian village Sijekovac nearby Bosenski Brod and murdered all its villagers ) the genocide perpetrators and the only culprits at the Hague Tribunal dock (both Tudjman and Izetbegovic had died in the proper time , in the same mysterious way as Milosevic ) and within framework of which the sacrifice of Srebrenica was being prepared well in advance ...)
Washington insisted on the recognition of Bosnia with the Muslim political domonance in spite of the fact that the BMuslims "owned" only 40% of the Bosnian land (!) , and in defiance of all the warnings coming from all the both European and US intelligence services that if the Bosnia gets an international recognition, it will immediately explode which happened within a fortnight ...
The EU diplomats knew only well the explosibility of the situation in BH and therefore Lord Carrington and Portuguese ministry of Foreign Affaairs José Cutillero tried to soften the impacts of the d.recognition by negotiating the Lisabon Agreements on March 29,92 which constituted three "helvetian" semiautonomous ethnic cantons under the government of the central Sarajevo government which had been signed by all the three ethnics and also Beograd agreed to it , however, two days later the Americal ambassador to YU Warren Zimmerman persuaded Izetbegovic to withdraw his signature from the agreements (!) Roger Cohen wrote in the New York Times that by recognizing BH under Washington´s pressure it was Washington who set the BH on fire ...
Washington, under the pressure of its economic interests in the Middle East, while pretending to be an impartial negotiator and pretending to wish a multiethnic BH, was aggressively favouring the Bosnian Muslims and deliberately thwarted all the European and UN peace plans (the above-mentioned Lisabon A., late92 Vance-Owen plan, or Owen-Stoltenberg plan of 93 ) All these peace plans Milosevic accepted ... The EU negotiator David Owen in his book Balkan Odyssey wrote : "From the spring 93 till the summer 95 all what Washington did was the deliberate protraction of the Bosnia war ..." Gen. Charles Boyd,the former Deputy Chief Commander of the NATO troops in Europe and as lata as the end of the Bosnia war the chief of the NATO intelligence service in the mag. Foreign Affairs declared :" Washington is doing its utmost to influence the Bosnia war for the political gains of the Muslims ..."
