THE BIG BANG BIG CRUNCH CYCLE - my theory

Most scientists now agree that the universe was created by a big bang. An enormous 'explosion' of matter and gas that spread atoms and every molecule all over space (before this id guess everything was just black, ill refer to this black as space and the matter as the universe).

So weve got this huge expansion of matter throughout space which goes on and on and on. I think im right in saying its still expanding now. At some point the outward force caused by the 'bang' will become less than the inward pull of gravity and thus everything will start coming back together, slowly at first and gradually getting faster till it all plows right back to the original source of the big bang becoming a big crunch. This massive crunch thowing all matter back into one dense particle would quickly become unstable and as such would cause another big bang and the process would start all over again. My estimate would be that this happens say every 30 billion years or so.

Ok my theory... it was god... lol no not really

Right so we have this cycle happening every 30b yrs ok. Now the last time this happened there was a series of events that occured which created the world we have today. The planets, particles, suns and galaxies all formed the way they are now which in turn created life on this planet, and by events and evolution it ultimately created you and the computer your sat at now.

Ok so heres the bit I like

Now we know that the universe has evolved this way AT LEAST once with biology, chemistry and physics all doing what they do. We know this because as I said you are here now reading this bulletin so there ya go.

Now granted the odds of the universe and thus earth and thus life 'evolving' the exact same way again is very slim. However there is a chance. Which means there is also a chance that at some point, maybe 60 billion, 90 billion, 300 billion, 6000 billion years ago. You were sat right there reading what im writing.

You are in good company with your theory,
Albert Einstein having preferred a similar model.

However, evidence of the last 10 years points
to an accelerating rate of universal expansion:

Evidence mounts that the expansion of the Universe is accelerating - physicsworld.com

The Universe is expanding at an ever increasing rate according to recent observations of supernovae. Astronomers believe that a certain class of supernova explosions - so-called type 1a supernovae - all have the same intrinsic luminosity, which means that their observed luminosity can be used to estimate their distance from Earth. By observing the redshift and the brightness of 58 supernova, two team of astronomers - one led by Saul Perlmutter from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, the other by Alex Filippenko of the University of California at Berkeley - have found that the remnants of nearly all type 1a supernovae are at least 15 % further away than the standard model of the Universe predicts. This implies that the Universe is 'open' and will expand forever...

Hmm

I dont understand what could cause an increase in expansion. Unless there is a constant source of 'energy output' at the core where the big bang began. Iv no idea what kinda source it would be. Perhaps there was one BIG BIG BIG FREAKIN BANG and then now we get a few smaller ones every so often so to speak. However the only thing i know of that would be able to pack in so much shit to create a big enough bang would be a black hole, but that would be sucking shit in. Is it a proven theory about white holes? you know the other end of a black hole where everything comes out the size of a pea. Maybe one of those is at the source.

"Dark Energy" is now the leading candidate
for agent of accelerated expansion:

Dark energy - physicsworld.com
(from link):
Quote:
New evidence has confirmed that the expansion of the universe is accelerating under the influence of a gravitationally repulsive form of energy that makes up two-thirds of the cosmos

It is an irony of nature that the most abundant form of energy in the universe is also the most mysterious. Since the breakthrough discovery that the cosmic expansion is accelerating, a consistent picture has emerged indicating that two-thirds of the cosmos is made of "dark energy" - some sort of gravitationally repulsive material...
I do not think this dark energy stuff is connected
with any of the lesser cosmic explosions which
have followed the Big Bang, or with singularities.

The universe is a fantastic place. I dont see why people prefer the one portrayed in the bible when the one in reality is far more spectacular.
