Spirit Of Cooperation Dominates Turkic Summit

The results of the November 17 summit of the leaders of Turkic-speaking nations exceeded the expectations of many diplomats and political analysts. The presidents of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey took the first steps toward the creation of a Turkic commonwealth, giving an enthusiastic endorsement to efforts aimed at strengthening energy and security ties.

Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, these 5 states were one state before Soviet Rule : Turkestan. Soviet rule did their best to encourage diffrences and to destroy similarities. But they still have a lot in common. Also Turkey and Azerbaijan is very very close in culture, in language etc.. I had been in Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan, Kazakh language is more distant to others and infleunced from russian too much but their culture , dishes very similar to Turkish. Turkmenistan is a bit more similar like its name Azerbaijan has no diffrence than any anatolian region. So, Something like Turkic commonwealth would be a wise idea. There is no doubt that we have much more in common than Germans and Frenchs but they formed an union.
But I am sure neither Russia nor China wouldn't like such idea, maybe US and EU also wouldn't want such emerging power. Russia could even take the risk of war. Because it could cause an action in all Turkic lands, inside Russian Federation territories, there are a lot of Turkic autonomous regions like Tatarstan, Baskurdistan, Altai, Tuva, Qaraqalpak, Yakutsk.
Even north of Afghanistan is Turkic, thats why there is no problem in north Gen. Rashid Dostum with his 25k troops from north aligned with NATO because Turkey said so.
Also, Xinjiang of China is populated by Turkic Uighurs and region called as Eastern Turkestan.
Also %38 of Iran's population is turkic (mostly Azeri and others)
So, a turkic awaiking, a turkic brotherhood is a danger for many major states.

Meanwhile there are serious developments for relations like Baku-Ceyhan Oil Pipeline. Now a second pipeline for natural gas, a trans-caspian pass for Turkmen natural gas and Kazakh oil are under construction, There are projects like Highspeed Railway from Istanbul till Baku and maybe a trans-caspian pass to central asia as well as highway roads. (China offered support for these modern silk roads) Main problem, Leaders of these countries still have deep ties with Russia, most of them ex. communist party regional leaders. To achive this Turkey tried some covered operations like assassination attempts, coups but all failed, and these caused to freeze relation for 10 years.
As I mentioned this states are rich in natural resources, kazakhs even have Baikonur space center, Turkey have military and man power, Azeri Turks are good at science. Thanks to russians this states have good infrastructure maybe better than Turkey (at list cities)
I am supporting a peacefull turkic commonwealth, but there are also some dangerious groups in Turkey supporting the samething for some racist or imperial ideals, they should be kept away of this.

BTW, I wanna mention about a leader and vision , year 1923 :

In a speech he gave at the social club of Ziraat Bank in Ankara on the 10th Anniversary of the Republic in September 29 1923, M.Kemal Atatürk said perhaps his most prophetic and visionary statement of all. "Today the Soviet Union is a friend and an ally. We need this friendship. However, no one can know what will happen tomorrow. Just like the Ottoman and Austro-Hungrian Empires it may tear itself apart or shrink in size. Those peoples that it holds so tightly in its grip may one day slip away. The world may see a new balance of power. It is then that Turkey must know what to do. The Soviets have under their control our brothers with whom we share language, beliefs and roots. We must be prepared to embrace them. Being ready does not mean that we will sit quietly and wait. We must get ready. How does a people get prepared for such an endaveour? By strengthening the natural bridges that exist between us. Language is a bridge... Religon is a bridge... History is a bridge... We must delve into our roots and reconstruct what history has divided. We can`t wait for them to approach us. We must reach out to them ..."
