Whether or not a person feels that we should have gone, one should at least recognize that we are there and we owe those people a fairly set up government and military before leaving. I think Rumsfeld is incompetent, though, and has no clue what he's doing in there.
I believe we (in private) give the Iraqi government a timetable to get their things ready and together and we pull out slowly, gradually, and unannounced in some fashion or another leading up to that point - that way when it becomes announcable, we won't have to spend a whole lot of time actually finishing up and have the media swarm on it like another Vietnam.

Apparently, this thread will get more play once it is pick up by a major US news media. There is an opinion on why Israel starves Palestinians, but nothing on whether Americans shouls stay or go from a war.
