Agreed! But I am one of the more people, I suppose, since I just recently joined. At the same time it is pretty much a rule that the intelligence of conversation on a forum decreases exponentially with the amount of members. So I would like to see a comfortable amount of growth but I am quite happy with it being not the most active forum on the Internet. There are always some new posts when I log back in here.

It annoys me when you make threads like these. The first reason is that all you do is whine and whine about how we need more people here, but you don't do anything to get more people here. I personally have invited dozens of people here and I don't take kindly to people who do nothing but whine.

The other reason these threads annoy me is that I cannot say well bring people in here then and stop whining about it! to you, because I shudder to think who you would invite here.

In any case, forum activity is obviously down to it being the Holiday season.

Actually, many new people have joined since you left SD, we have two new Muslim participants, both a part of the Arab League, we've had a few more from Australia, a few new Americans, some Chinese... from what i've seen anyway. The mod team has done a good job in getting new people to come here.

The powers that be on this forum try all that they can to bring in new people. There are many other forums where they might get a new poster once every 4 days or so. We usually get about 3 new posters a day.

I like JFK's motto:

Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.

That should be applied to the forum as well.

I think this is a good forum filled with people who are able to write clearly. If there was a way to add a little more pizzazz that would be cool, and might draw in some unsuspecting posters.

I recently left a forum because of the trolling and spamming going on. It had been pretty good but as membership increased the people just going around and leveling personal attacks, usually because they could not debate on an issue oriented level, kept increasing. I sent several post to the mods there but one or two of them began to actually defend it and take part in it. I noted this forum seems to enforce the rules better so have moved here. Also advised some of the posters there of this forum so maybe a few of the better ones will move over here too.

I've given links to this site to a few of my friends on other forum boards I frequent. What's funny is since i've found this place, my time on other boards has diminished.
