Lightbulb Getting ever more posters to the forum

Rome was not built in a day. Also, this forum was not built in a day, and it's future will not be built in a day. The key to growth is constant little changes over a long period of time.

I have a simple idea for attracting more posters to this forum. A lot of the regulars on this forum may login in here a few times a day, once a day, once every two days, etc. Most people specialize in one area or another (i.e. German politics, economics, Latino politics, security issues, civil liberties, Russian politics, Chinese politics, American politics, gun rights, etc). So what people can do is when they have the time, go to a blog or some other site where they have a subject that they are very comfortable talking about once in a while, comment on the threads there and put this in your signature area:

Or

Come out this civil political forum

OR

For example, if I'm FryandBender, here's what I do.

* I believe in the Fair Tax
* I go to some blog or forum or news site or some other site (sites hosted by a special interst group radio personalities) where they talk about fair tax
* I make a simple comment like:

"I wish Neil Boortz would run for President, can we get a "Draft Neil Boortz campaign started?"

In the signature field I put in:

Check out my favorite political forum

Then I would post that up. I do that as seldom as once a week for a long period of time (don't have to post on the same forum/blog/news site all the time) and it can bring in a lot of new and interesting posters onto the site.

That's awesome. Are there any decent right-wingers over there too?

Yeah, I've tried inviting a few people from other non-related boards (though they still have policital sections), but so far no luck. I think this message board might seem a bit intimidating to some people - I know it took me a while before I posted.

But, I'll keep putting a good word out there to people I figure might be interested in coming here.

What site is that? I want to stir up some anti-fascist, pro-communist, hate Bush and Giuliani shit at that site.

I joined this board - although it took me a few days to be acknowledged by the e-mail acceptance - so I kept trying

I have invited and even welcomed a friend - who was on the list of people for one day and has disappeared.

He also cannot get an acknowledgement e-mail of acceptance so perhaps he gave up.

If anyone can help me to give him advice I would be happy to pass along information.

What's your friend(s) name? We can activate his account without the e-mail thing.

We did have an error with the forum we fixed (temporarily) a little while ago.

I have another suggestion concerning the forum.
I don't know if it can be done or not though?

I suggest there would be a private message called Mod Squad or Moderator.

That way if a new poster needs assistance or wants to point out something.
Any moderator could give them the assistance they need or anawer any questions they have.

I have enjoyed this forum. I have and will continue to recommend this sight to friends. I have learned that I need to improve written communications skills. It was eye opening to see what others thought I was saying.

Glad you like it. We try to keep the forum's discussion level on a similar one to the banter you see on the political talk shows.
