Lightbulb Forum infractions for trolling?

I was recently reading a thread and I saw some low quality remarks. Just quick one or two line jabs at another poster without in anyway responding to the content of what the author says. The following comments represent the content of THE ENTIRE POST, amounting to 8 total posts (reproduced in their entirety) in the exchange below.

Quote:
Poster 1: This is spamming.

Poster 2: No. Unfortunately it's the truth.

Poster 1: Do you have anything to say about the videos. I want to hear about your dismissal of them.

Poster 2: Ok. They're dismissed.

Poster 1: Thank you for proving my point.

Poster 2: Glad to help you recognize the errors of your ways. Let's do it again soon.

Poster 1: What error? Your ignorance? You should really watch the videos though.

Later on says:

Poster 2: I read your posts. Positively pathetic.
This is the dictionary definition of trolling and it is also a very low quality of discussion. I think that trolling should be treated as a lesser forum rules violation. (Worth about 2-3 points out of 10). We don't need a board filled up with this crap.

I left the discussion after making this point about trolling, as I am getting bored with the spew monotony. I am also seeing basically the same spew posted at high speed on various threads. I am trying to remedy the situation by putting this person on ignore.

I am not heavily invested into a conspiracy theory about one person having two member names here. However, I did see this happen at another forum. The two "people" never posted at the same period of time. Each member name had a different ISP address, but I have heard people can post with different identifies from different computers, such as from home and a computer lab at college or an internet cafe.
How about an interesting discussion?

@ Mike

Specific accusations against specific posters should be made to moderators in private. Nothing worse than a soap opera forum.

Also, I will have a look at that other thread and reply in a bit.

As for the comments against that thread, I am inclined to disagree with you there, Mike. The opening post in that thread had a real point: namely it addresses a parallel drawn by John Kerry between Iraq and Vietnam, and then attempts to say that Kerry's failure to understand his own parallel show why we should stay in Iraq.

You don't think that's a good argument, Mike? You don't think the argument I just mentioned was worth you mentioning in your analysis on that thread? Perhaps you've overlooked the merits of that thread because you do not agree with the political argument. There is a difference between no agreement and no merit.
