CENSORED

There have been a lot of censored T.V. at one point or another.
I'm sure you've tuned into some action movei or other movie to listen to the "bleeps".
That's why most people have premium channels it sure ain't for the new movies they show.
Some people were worried about what would happen if bad language was used during regular T.V. programing maybe Hell would freeze over or the country would be thrown into chaos.
Well, last night on the Comedy channel, a comidian named Lewis Black was on perfoming a show called Black on Broadway, and this show was uncut.
For thiose of you who know who Lewis Black is or have heard one of his stand up routines you know what I'm talking about.
Before and after each segment there were warning signs stateing this program contains adult language and adult situations.
Well as far as I know Hell didn't freeze over and the country is no better or no worce than it was before the broadcast.
So I say to hell with the "bleeps"broadcast the real language.
Maybe the networks don't have to do this all the time but maybe once a week wouldn't drive away any sponsers.
Ladies and Gentlemen I await your veiws and comments on this subject.

I agree. If parents are so worried about their children, they would activate the V-Chip in their tv's, block certain channels, and actually watch what their kids are watching on tv.

Well, I see where you're comming from, however, I'm not sure that I want to be exposed to foul language and boobies everytime I turn on the TV. You know what I mean? Like some of that is fun but if there were no restrictions, eventually that would be all that was on.

I would be okay with less restrictions however. I've never understood why the censors bleeped out the God and not the damn when somebody dropped that one. It never made since to me.

I'm not saying foul language and boobies across the board all the time.
Just a 1 or 2 channels once or twice a week.
Did you know that one network refused to show "SAVING PRIVATE RYAN", because the war scenes might scare the kids.
In the first place, in my opinions kids should learn to be scared of war as soon as possible, and in the second place turn on the news and it won't be fake blood or stunt doubles doing the dieing.

What about people like me? I'm not a little kid? I like to watch comedy central and tbs etc... But I don't really want to hear the bad language. The jokes are still funny without it. I'd say 2/3+ of the language used is unnecessary.

That type of stuff is what I would include in the "less restrictions" catagory. That is easily controlled by parents with that V-chip thing, but that movie is on TNT and TBS all the time. One or two channels won't make a differance. Comedy Channel drops the censors at 1 am usually, there's one channel for you and FX does a lot of action movies all the time. Or theres the movie channels (Starz, Cinemax, HBO, etc..) that you can buy if you want that are uncensored.

I'm pretty sure you don't watch one channel all the time, and neither does anybody else for that matter once or twice a week with one or two channels with advaced notice late in the A.M. is not going to wreck anybody's T.V. watching routine.
If you happen on to a channel that has bad language or graphics you can turn the channel.

I will give you one example of this.
The Fifth Element is a movie with a lot of graphic action and a lot of bad language.
IT was recently shown on the Starz package, and was shown on FX.
The FX movie was cut to peices.
Why should I pay for premium channels when they offer hardly any new moveis, as long as they can repeat good action movies?
In my opinion as long as action moveis are cut to the bone on regular T.V. all the time premium movies will get every last penny they can from pay per veiw and vidieos, across the board leaving the adult T.V. veiwer in the middle, while teens and people who don't happen to like a certain kind of programs protected, and at a cheaper price I might add.

On Demand video service is offered by many digital cable, satillite, and FiOS companies. They offer tons of movies that are uncut new and old. You don't have to subscribe to premium movie channels, just pay for each individual movie and watch what you want, when you want.
