Lewis Black Owns Everyone.

I don't know if anyone saw Comedy Central's last laugh '07 last night, but it was pretty funny. Lewis Black in particular (of coarse) was exceptionally funny and spot on. I'll see if I can find a video of it, but one of my favorite parts was when he went off on republicans and democrats. He basically said to anyone who is still a republican or democrat after these past 7 years is "in a state of delusion I can not conceive of, and this coming from a guy who took acid and saw his television turn into a cougar and run off."

They took questions from the audience and one guy asked with shows like the Daily Show and the Cobert Report, where did he see the future of comedy and politics. Black laughed and said that it is already here. "All we do at the Daily Show is read headlines. We don't come up with shit. We get a news paper and read it to you." He basically insinuated that sadly our news and politics is funny without their creative input.

I'm not sure if this clip has the part I was talking about in it (no speakers at work) but like anything Lewis Black says it is worth looking at.

Alright, that link takes you to the main video page. You'll have to look to the right and click on Lewis Black to see it. D.L. Hughley and Dave Attell were also there and have videos posted. They all did well too and you should check them out if you have time.

I like Lewis Black alright. He reminds me alot of my Dad's jewish relatives, particularly his brothers. In any case, he is refreshing at times and I do enjoy his outlook on Dems/Reps. I refuse to align with either side as well.

Are you trying to imply that socialist can't be funny?

I thought we was talking about a good comedian.
When did socialist become an issue?
And anyway I thought it important to know a comic by how much he makes you laugh not his political standing.
Christ if that were true 60% of Americans would not like Republican comics.

Today, comics often don't need to make up jokes, just watch the news?
EXAMPLE;
Romney; I'm firmly against illegal immigration
Romney; What do you mean I have illegal immigrants working for me?
Clinton; I would never play the gender card.
Clinton; I'm saying this with the boys club that are running against me.
Need I go on, WELL?
Huckabee; Apresident must lead
Huckabee; I was unaware of the Iran situation, I've been busy for 24hrs.
These are not jokes.
