Last Moment of Princess Di's Life
How many of you are mad at me for posting this? I think that Princess Di's story teaches us the powerful effect the media has on all of our lives.

The media killed Princess Di.
They didn't kill her with a conspiracy. They simply harassed 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week and she died trying to get away from them.

I saw William and Kate being harassed by these people yesterday. It is ridiculous. What is so fascinating about them that the world have to chase them like vultures. And now they are on to this new inquiry and more pictures of her. Why can she not be allowed to rest in peace. It's over, the royals would never stoop to killing one of their own. Maybe if we all stopped buying the magazines that print the pictures, the media interest in them would stop.

Mohamed al-Fayed continues to claim that Diana and his son were killed by British Intelligence and as long as he keeps it going it's never going to go away. It's tragic that he lost his son but I just can't believe there is any substance to his claims. I believe it was an accident caused by a chasing pack of photographers who harassed them at every opportunity. A picture of Diana in a private moment was a licence to print money and even today if there is an article about her or her sons in a magazine or the newspapers they just fly off the shelves. It must be very distressing for her sons but if there is money to be made the press don't really care about that do they? If they did they wouldn't buy the pictures from the photographers.

There is a question over the way the driver waves to someone (they say a photographer) before Di and Dodi emerge. The question is whether he could be signalling to someone. And of course, who that was.
He also had a very large unexplained amount of money in his bank account.
As to the Royal family's capacity to do something like this, you are talking about people who are only a few generations from stabbing each other behind the arras, to stay in power.
Charles engineered a private meeting with Camilla a couple of days before the wedding with no regard for anyone but himself. He was never happy with the amount of attention she received from the press and let it be seen on several public occasions.
Diana had a huge and negative impact on the Royal family's popularity. A divorce was bad enough, but marriage and possibly children with the son of a shopkeeper and a man deemed unfit to be given British citizenship because of his shady activities...what an embarrassment...
The press do buy the pictures, but if the people didn't buy them they'd soon stop.

At the recent 10 year anniversary, Harry made an impassioned plea for people to leave his mother's memory in peace. How could you ever get on with your life being constantly submitted to seeing people claim your mother was murdered by your father?
Of course, the newspapers were all sympathetic. And then continued posting stories about it.

What you are saying is very true but the story goes way back to Queen Mary having a hissy fit about the Edward VIII wanting to marry Wallis Simpson. Then Margaret and Peter Townsend. It was the same mindset that separated Charles and Camilla in the first place. Charles' marriage to Diana was the biggest mistake of the lot. She must've know about his attachment to Camilla before they were married but being a young girl, she was only 19, she probably thought that being married to a beautiful young girl would make him forget the older, other woman.
I think that if anyone was involved in a conspiracy here it was the driver tipping off the photographers about their leaving via the back entrance. I also think that Charles and his family would have been embarrassed about her relationship if there was indeed a relationship. I am sure that other women will agree with me that it is possible to have a very close friendship with a man without being intimately involved with him. I've had a few of those relationships myself and I believe that Dodi was just a really good friend to her when she needed one. The poor woman really did not have success with men and I think she was beginning to realise that. You can see from their body language at the hotel and in the car that they weren't really involved with each other.
At the end of the day, Camilla has turned out to be good for Charles and they are happy now; I want to be fair and let them enjoy each other as older people. To be perfectly honest is there anyone here that would like to be married into that family, the real people to feel sorry for are the girls who marry those two boys, it's going to be Di and Fergie all over again.

It's very sad. I was never a great fan of Diana, but her death was shocking because she was so young and beautiful and because of those boys. I cried for a week...
The press should leave the boys alone and I really hope after this enquiry they will leave Diana to rest in peace.
Al Fayed has it in his head that the driver was signalling to some kind of security services agent who then engineered the accident. GMTV news were saying today that Dodi told his father he planned to propose to Diana on the day after the accident. I suppose if that is true, it would make you suspicious of the timing. Al Fayed is a father, who can blame him?
I too wish Charles and Camilla well. They are plainly made for each other and should be allowed their happiness. The problem may arise though when a decision has to be made about Camilla being Queen.
The strange thing about the royals is they are all tiny in real life. The Queen visited here years ago and she is miniscule. So was the Duchess of Kent, although she has an aura which made her lovely. Charles I saw passing slowly in the back of a Rolls, he was very small. Fergie I met and shook hands with as she came to my place of work to reopen the building after it was renovated, she was really lovely and very pleasant to speak to. She is also very slim, despite the press reporting her as a huge and ugly person. She has the most beautiful eyes and was wearing a royal blue suit, with two brooches in the shape of salamanders with sapphire eyes to die for.

I know about those eyes, and her girls, they are gorgeous too. How did all those really unattractive Windsors breed all those beautiful grandchildren. You never see Sophie and Louise, is it true she's preggers again? I thought I saw Anne at the Scottish rugby match last night. Pity they lost it would be fun to fight it out with Scotland in the next round - so we got Argentina. But did Peter Phillips get married recently? Sorry I'm going off track here. But the children are all lovely. And yes, hopefully Diana will finally be left alone. but I still do pity Kate she really does have her work cut out with the photographers.

Anne is always at the Scottish rugby. She signs the Scottish national anthem. Their MO is to allocate a special envoy to a particular region, ie. Anne is particularly affiliated with Scotland, Charles with Wales etc.
The family spend much of their time in Balmoral in Scotland, Buckingham Palace is more like their office.
You will know the Queen Mother was Scottish, perhaps that's why. Queen Victoria's husband was German, the Germans like the scenery in Scotland and he purchased Balmoral and built it into a comfortable getaway for them.
I heard about Peter marrying but don't think a date has been set as yet. I do think I heard something about Edward's wife expecting again.
