O'Reilly chews out Democrats for going to Daily Kos convention (video)
Check this video out. The latter half, which has the debate is pretty interesting.
I was laughing through the first half a bit (at O'Reilly). However, then I did think that about it some more and I do think some valid points were raised. I've checked out blogs on both the left and the right. I can tell you that it is a scary thought to ever step out of line for either party. However, having been banned from the Democratic Underground over a moderator's disapproval of me criticizing Hillary, as well as some of the other far left personalities I've seen....I really do think that the Daily Kos is rife with this kind of stuff.
I mean, I really think that if you say a word in favor of the Iraq War or the Patriot Act you will be tarred and feathered right on the spot. Of course conservatives have their sensitive issues too (i.e. illegal immigration, for which you will be tarred and feathered on some sites if you argue on behalf of comprehensive immigration reform).
The issue here is: should the American people hold the Democrats accountable for associating with the Daily Kos and the attacks of many members of the site?

Keith Oberman alleges that on O'Reilly's website conservatives have been saying worse things about Hillary, including that she should be assasinated, and that this stuff can also be found on right-wing sites like Free Republic.

O'Reilly: You know, you can... Look, I have my own web site. We don't... open forum is bull. Alright? You can regulate what's on your web site.

Reply: RE: If Hillary WIns, WIll You Be Respectful of Her?
If Hillary wins, I will be respectful of our leader. If you could read my thoughts, I would be on the SS [Secret Service] watch list.
Uh-oh. We know what gets you on that watch list, don't we?
O'Reilly himself says the open forum excuse is "bull." Because "you can regulate what's on your web site"
Here's O'Reilly's actual web site policy?

Loofah O'Reilly is condemned by his own mouth.
Feel free to do a little research within the Borg blogosphere.

lol Nice one, Apotro.
According to O'Reilly's comments about the Daily Kos, that would make O'Reilly's site a "hate site."

I am glad he did. Daily KOS is pathetic. A bunch of negative losers who have nothing better to do except bitch about Bush all day. Any psychologist would tell you that that is not healthy.
The democrats seem to get criticized an unfair amount for their association with far left organizations. What about the Republicans association with Pat Buchanan, Pat Roberson and Jerry Falwell all of whom are tied to numerous far right organizations and have made pretty bigoted statements and gotten away with it.
Republicans associate with sexists, racists, homophobes (the only group their willing to ridicule openly), antisemites and agents of prejudice in general. If all you got on the democrats is the Daily Kos and a bunch of other leftist organizations you might as well have nothing at all. Besides the Daily Kos doesn't misconstrue facts any more then Fox Noise.
You've made a sweeping all inclusive statement that if you are a Republican then you associate with sexists, racists, homophobes, antsemites and agents of prejudice in general. Your words. Now what is your supporting proof that if you are a Republican then you associate with the aforementioned groups?
You make the inference that allRepublicans associate with the groups that you mentioned. Your words, "Republicans associate with sexists, racists, homophobes (the only group their willing to ridicule openly), antisemites and agents of prejudice in general." An unsubstantiated sweeping generality.

1. Your comment ad hominem and, as such, fails as meaningful discussion.
2. Categorizing the half-million visitors to the Daily Kos as "negative losers" is what psychologists would call "projection." You seem to be undergoing what they would call a "reaction formation."

Apply your quote to yourself.
I am guessing you are one of those hypocritical bloggers who seem to think that them complaining actually makes any difference to the rest of the world. Well, wrong. Its a bunch of unemployed people mad at the world. Go figure.
