Planet Earth
Hey guys, I watched the first three episodes of Discovery Channels "Planet Earth" last night (Sunday) and it was awesome. They spent 5 years planning and filming and they are able to show us things that have never been caught on film. They use a lot of time elapse and slowed down highspeed film. They had film of huge great white sharks jumping out of the water attacking seals. The attack usually takes about one second, but they were able to slow it down with the highspeed film to 47 seconds. Anyways, I just thought I would give a heads up. I would imagine that it would be a lot better on a high definition TV, but it was bad ass on a normal one too. It has 11 episodes total, so if your interested check it out on Discovery on Sunday nights. It is so good I'll probably end up getting the DVD set.
Here is a link to the web site with some good videos and information.

Just a reminder. I watched the new ones last night. They are unbelievably amazing. If you don't have a favorite program on sunday nights that you can't miss, I highly recommend this show.

I've watched the first 5 episodes and I have to say this is without a doubt the best documentary I have ever seen in my life. The cinematography is unreal.

I wish I had the discovery channel… Being a poor college student, I don’t have any cable at all. I might buy the DVD set though. I remember watching a Deep sea special from the discovery channel and it was some of the coolest footage of nature ever.

Well, Seer, hope you get it on DVD when they release it. it is unbelievable.
Here's a trailer for it. YouTube - PLANET EARTH Trailer
The full shark breach is absolutely insane. The footage they capture is breath-taking.

I saw the commercial, but I figured it was just another stupid documentary, like a filler show. I guess not! I'll try to catch it
