Hugo Chavez does need taken out
As much as I hate Pat Robertson he was right when he said Hugo Chavez needs taken out or arrested Noriega style

Pat gets a bit radical at times.

I think at the moment the best thing we can do is stay out of it. He has enough opposition that a coup is possible.IMO.

Are you from Pittsburgh or that area, by any chance (I ask becuase that's the only place where I've ever heard people leave out the infinitive and say "Chavez needs taken out" instead of "Chavez needs to be taken out")?

Take out CHavez and you vindicate him, you would prove to Latin America that the US considers it under US control, and then you can say goodbye to all the pro-US Presidents.

Exactly! If he is to be "taken out", let it be by his own pweople and their own doing, no interference as with Chile.

I just have to ask. If there a reason why there must Latin America must be "pro-US"?

Well, I guess such a position at least is logical. But it's going to be tough getting some of those Latin countries to go along with it.
