Investing in Brazil and issues with Argentina or Chile
I'm actually interested in discussing land ownership in Brazil with any Brazilians. I'm looking at potentially buying 2,000ha of land and beginning to develop it but of course I haven't worked out certain costs (meaning I don't know what crops to begin with or if I should go for pasture first).
That aside...
Other issues thus include political situation, immigration situation, and such...what is the "investment climate" like?
How does Brazil look upon white-Americans and how has Brazil dealt with its history of "racial democracy"? Is Brazil a traditional society (meaning it has its race issues but its benign?) or is it a revolutionary society (meaning it is more like going through or have gone through the civil rights era USA or post-Apartheid South Africa and has large issues of Affirmative Action etc).
Brazil is the center piece of this topic but then if anyone knowledgeable about Argentina or Chile would like to answer the same questions and engage in fact "spewing" please do.
This thread for me is mostly about generating knowledge it doesn't have to be about debating the rightness or wrongness of any particular issue...but rather to discover the issues from those living there.
Thanks.
