Opposition To Immigration
Since this sub-forum was slowing down I thought I would lively things up.
The opposition to working class immigrants is nothing new. In the later part of the 19th century a group called, American Protective Association was formed to try and stem the immigration of workers from East Asia, South and East Europe. There reasoning was from a stand on Americanism, much like the rhetoric coming from the Minutemen. The groups stands on super-patriotism and its strong appeal to the middle class gave it some semi-fascist traits.
Everything was aimed at the superiority of the American workers and did not need to be deluted by immigrants.
I guess we have to have this type of thing every hundred years or so.
