OK, it's come up multiple times in class recently. With all of the new evidence, why is the Red Scare still taught in schools as if it was an inquisition, not as an attempt to catch people (namely Communists working for the Soviets) in the act of treason? The Rosenburgs are still being paraded is innocent victims of the Red Scare - THEY WERE GUILTY OF TREASON!

I actually think McCarthy got a bad rap on that deal.

Who's to say if they were guilty of treason?

In a time of mass hysteria, its very easy to point the finger at your neighbor, who's dog has been pooing on your lawn and say "Communist!" without giving a thought to the consequences of that statement.

Its a shame the power the words can have over us and the power we give them.
