In the early day of Han Wudi ascended his throne , he knew from the Xu Nu people that after Yue shi captured the Xiong Nu race, they cut off the head of Yue shi king and as a utensil so Yue Shi people hate Xiong Nu very much. In this way, Wu Di offered a reward to send emissary went to the Yi Shi, hoping they could jiont the Yue Shi,converging attack Xiong Nu. However, there only Zhang Qian enlisted, he with the Tang Yifu who was a Hu people and other 100 people started at Long Xi, but when he in Xiong Nu region, he was detain there for more than 10 years,and married there. Later, he got a chance when Xiong Nu migrate,so he escaped westward and arrived Da Wan, in the way of Kang Ju, reached Yueshi.
At that time, Yue Shi was pressure under the Xiong Nu and western moved to the north bank of Wei Shui today's A Mu River, furthermore they leaded Da Xia, so they were not willing to revenge on Xiong Nu, even Zhang Qian lived there for almost a year,which made Zhang Qian returned back. He afraid to go the original way so he changed another road, but unluckly, he was captured again by Xiong Nu, the next year, there happened civil strife so he scaped with Tang Yifu and other people and back to Chang An on the third year of Yuan Shu Year(BC125),only 10 attendant survived. Cause the road he passed is the virgin for Han people so it is "Zhang Qian Forced" in history.
