I used to
live at Pizza Hut and White Castle. And water? Eh, when I was waiting on my soda to arrive. These days though, it's funny to look back at how crappy my eating habits really were.
People are overly medicated as well, which has a lot to do with it. Many medications aren't necessary if you take care of yourself. It's not the drug companies fault -- we buy the stuff! It's not the fast food companies fault, same reason. It's a societal problem with a societal solution. I often wonder if it's not too late. I guess in the end I feel as if it's up to individuals to start change with themselves and with their children (teaching good habits and information). Preaching to everyone only does so much. But the more it is shown by example what a healthy lifestyle can get you, the more I think it will turn around.
Our bodies evolved to function properly based on certain nutrient requirements. If we aren't getting them consistently, we aren't going to function the way we are made to.
