They will keep targeting it until they (gov't) have total and complete control. Everyboby keep in mind, all this health stuff in the news lately (tobacco, trans-fat, etc.) is not about health-It's about money, power, greed, and control.

So do what you want do do and just ignore the health police. If we all do that we will have a free society again.

Let's all do our part to prevent the future as envisioned by Orwell:

"If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever." --George Orwell.

(Now you can sit back and watch the health nuts send me hate mail here on this thread.)

Yo freedom I'm a healthnut myself.

However, I can't bring myself to send you hatemail.

I agree with you that we don't need our peice of shit motherfuckin' asshole politicians telling us what to eat or not eat or anything else.

Matter of fact I've encouraged people to start asassinating politicians :-)

Peice of shit slugs. They need shot they really do. True Americans will start :-)

I'm a 'health-nut' as well, but I do agree that the govt. should not regulate peoples choices.

However, people should not have to pay for the shitty choices of others as well (meaning, if you decide to smoke two packs a day, drink alcohol semi-regularly and neglect your body in other regards -- don't ask me to pick up the tab for your emphysema and chronic liver failure). It goes both ways in my book.

I avoid Trans Fat and empty calories 99% of the time, but if I decide I ever want to have some - why the hell can't I? I'm with you, freedom, though I am a healthnut

This article was all about preventing teenagers and young people from chewing tobacco. I don't know about the rest of you parents out there, but I certainly don't want my teen to chew tobacco. It didn't reference adults until the very end, and when it did it had this counterintuitive tidbit:

Quote:
According to the American Council on Science and Health, encouraging cigarette smokers to switch to chew, particularly products that contain low levels of cancer-causing nitrosamines, could substantially reduce health costs and the incidence of both lung and heart disease.

I agree you shouldn't have to pay for it. I'm not asking anyone to pay for anything. My point of view is that if you get a health related issue from the choices you make, then it's your own responsibility.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
And just so everybody knows- when I used the words "health nuts" in my original post, I was referring to those who want to force health policies on the rest of us.

I didn't mean those who are concerned about making healthy choices in their own lives.
